Job Description:

As a Senior Care Assistant working through BJG Professional Healthcare Services for HC-One, you will take on a leadership role within the care team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents. You will oversee the daily activities of care staff, mentor junior team members, and support the needs of residents in a compassionate and professional manner. HC-One is actively seeking experienced care professionals to enhance the quality of life for residents across its network of care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate the work of care assistants to ensure high standards of care.
Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities.
Administer medications as per care plans and in compliance with regulations.
Monitor residents’ well-being and report any health concerns to nursing staff.
Build positive relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support when needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed care records for each resident.
Support training and development of junior care team members.

Skills and Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a care setting, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing person-centred care.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control practices.
