Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapist working through BJG Professional Healthcare Services for Bupa UK, you will help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life following illness, injury, or surgery. You will assess patients’ needs, design personalised care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to support recovery. Bupa UK is seeking skilled occupational therapists to enhance their rehabilitation and therapy teams across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to support recovery and independence.
Provide therapeutic interventions, including exercises, adaptations, and lifestyle advice.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists and consultants, to ensure comprehensive care.
Assist with the provision and adaptation of assistive devices to support patients in their daily lives.
Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about therapeutic strategies and self-care techniques.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required: Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
Professional Registration: HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in occupational therapy is required.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients and families.
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, assistive devices, and therapeutic exercises.
A compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
